We're seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Teaching and Learning team within the Teaching and Learning Directorate.

 

This is an opportunity to support the Teaching and Learning Directorate, contributing to the achievement of our strategic priorities by providing high-quality administrative support that enables effective service delivery across Catholic education.

 

This is a 1.0FTE one year fixed-term parental leave cover position commencing

About the Role

 

Working within the School Support Team in the Teaching and Learning Directorate, you will provide high-quality administrative support that enables the effective delivery of school and system initiatives aligned with CEWA's strategic priorities. You will work closely with Team Leaders, Teaching and Learning staff, schools and external stakeholders to ensure efficient operations, seamless coordination of events and professional learning activities, and the delivery of high-quality services to Catholic schools across Western Australia.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide proactive administrative support that enables the Teaching and Learning Directorate to achieve strategic priorities and service outcomes.
  • Coordinate professional learning events, conferences and meetings, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants and stakeholders.
  • Support effective financial administration through the management of purchases, invoices and budget-related processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and digital platforms to support informed decision-making and service delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication, scheduling and workflow coordination across teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and customer-focused environment that supports schools and system-wide initiatives.

 

About You

You are an experienced administrative professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional support and building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You are able to manage competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism and have demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality administrative services while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.

 

Essential requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-quality administrative support in a busy office environment.
  • Advanced computer and digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital collaboration tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise initiative and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of your duties.

 

Highly regarded:

  • Experience supporting professional learning events, conferences or education-based administration functions.
