Assistant School Support Accountant

The Role
The Assistant School Support Accountant is part of the School Support Accountants Team within the Finance and Infrastructure directorate. Based at our Leederville office, this role supports financial management, compliance, and reporting across Catholic schools in Western Australia. You will assist with budgeting, forecasting, capital project assessments, audit preparation, and financial analysis, while contributing to system-level improvements and supporting school staff.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position commencing as soon as possible and concluding on 31 March 2027.

Selection Criteria
Essential
- Support for the Catholic ethos and objectives of Catholic education
- Service mindset to support Catholic schools in achieving system priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise work, take initiative, and solve problems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or Commerce
- Progress towards CPA or CAANZ membership
Highly Desirable
- Full membership of CPA or CAANZ
- Minimum one year of relevant accounting experience
