We are seeking applications for the position of Consultant Religious Education to support schools within the Geraldton Diocese. This vital role collaborates with the Religious Education Curriculum and Formation for Mission Team and works closely with leaders and educators to foster faith-filled communities that inspire and educate.

 

This is a full-time ongoing position based in Geraldton commencing 1 January 2025 or negotiable with the successful candidate.

  • Salary range for this position is J1 to J4 on the CEO salary scale ($126, 288 - $141, 406 full time per annum) plus superannuation.

About you? 

  • Personal witness to Catholic faith
  • Accreditation for the Leadership of the Religious Education Learning Area
  • Recent experience and knowledge of the Western Australian Religious Education Curriculum
  • Experience in developing tools and resources that enable more engaged learning experiences
  • Proven ability to communicate Catholic teaching faithfully
  • Excellent knowledge and use of presentation skills which fully engage adult learners in an interactive way
  • Proven capacity to work cooperatively with others
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
  • A sound knowledge of the theology and Church documents that underpin the Western Australia Religious Education program is highly desirable 
  • Knowledge and experience of ministry in the Catholic Church is highly desirable 
  • A sound understanding of mature adult discipleship that is a living, fruitful and explicit profession of faith is highly desirable.
