The Role

 

The role of Early Childhood Numeracy Project Consultant belongs to the Curriculum team in the Teaching and Learning directorate. We have 5 office campuses across the state and this role will be based at our West Leederville office.

 

The Early Childhood Numeracy Project Consultant will support the school and system initiatives aligned with CECWA’s Strategic Initiatives and Quality Catholic Education. The role will also assist in the design and documentation of the Early Childhood Numeracy project.

 

This is a full-time 2 year project position commencing January 2026.

Selection Criteria

  1. Commitment to CEWA’s Vision for Learning, Numeracy Position Statement and Numeracy Framework.
  2. An Early Childhood Teaching Qualification.
  3. Knowledge and excellent understanding of early childhood pedagogical practice in Mathematics.
  4. Recent early childhood school-based experience with a history of exemplary teaching in Mathematics.
  5. Excellent knowledge of current issues, initiatives and research in Numeracy and Mathematics.
  6. Highly developed understanding and experience in effectively using data to inform teaching and learning, including On Entry Assessment, MAI, PAT Maths and NAPLAN.
  7. Capacity to work with school leaders and teachers in the areas of Numeracy and Mathematics.
