The Role.
The role of English as an Additional Language/Dialect Consultant belongs to the Curriculum team in the Teaching and Learning directorate. We have 5 office campuses across the state and this role will be based at our West Leederville office.
This role is designed to provide leadership and build capacity of teachers and leaders in Catholic schools in the area of English as an Additional Language/Dialect.
This is a fulltime ongoing position.

Selection Criteria
A. ESSENTIAL:
- Prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
- Commitment to CEWA’s Vision for Learning.
- Knowledge and excellent understanding of pedagogical practice.
- Recent school-based experience with a history of exemplary teaching in EAL/D.
- Excellent practical and theoretical experience with data analysis.
- Capacity to work with school leaders and teachers in EAL/D.
- Highly developed organisational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to show initiative and be proactive.
- Highly developed skills in digital technologies.
- Experience in delivering quality professional learning.
- Capacity to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.
B. HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Specialist EAL/D qualifications, including qualifications in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Applied Linguistics or related fields.
- The successful candidate will also have a willingness to travel to and work in regional and remote locations.
