We're seeking a First Nations Trainee to join our team within Catholic Education Western Australia, gaining valuable workplace experience in administration while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

This is a full-time one year fixed-term position commencing as soon as possible.

About the Role

Working in the School Improvement team based in the Broome Regional Office, success in this role will be demonstrated through the completion of a nationally recognised qualification in administration, the development of practical workplace skills, positive contributions to the team, and a commitment to learning, growth and supporting CEWA's culturally responsive education mission

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong communication skills, reliability and a willingness to contribute to a team. Whether beginning their career journey or looking to gain experience in administration, they will be committed to completing their qualification, embracing learning opportunities and making a meaningful contribution to their workplace and the broader CEWA community.

It is a genuine requirement for this position that the successful candidate be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as per section 50D of the equal opportunity act 1984.

Essential requirements:

• Completion of Year 12 or equivalent study.
• Capacity and willingness to study towards (and complete) a Certificate III or IV in administration
• Flexibility and the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Outlook.
• Commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
