The Role

 

We are currently seeking a Graphic Design superstar to join our Business Development Team in an ongoing part-time 0.4FTE position commencing in February 2026. Based in our heritage West Leederville office this role can suit school hours if required.

 

You will be working as part of our friendly, high performing team creating office documents and publications, new branding for schools, signage, EDM’s, digital and print campaigns and event material support. The primary accountabilities of this role include:

  • Liaises with CEWA teams and provides advice on design and production aspects of CEWA design material.
  • Takes briefs, develops concepts, produces designs, and finished artwork for a wide range of communications and marketing assets – including branding, visual identities, publications, presentations, large format, EDM’s and other printed and digital materials for CEWA executive, office teams, and schools.
  • Coordinates publication management - including internal approval processes and liaising with photographers, printers, and others to coordinate each project through to completion.
  • Creates and updates content for digital internal and external facing platforms and sites.
  • Produces content to industry standard specifications for both print and digital work and provides finished art in the correct format to suit production output.
  • Prepares job specifications, obtains and evaluates quotes, and makes recommendations on the awarding of design, print and other production work.
  • Ensures production and quality standards are maintained at a high level and comply with CEWA Branding Guide and Style Guides, within set timeframes for specific projects.
  • Files artwork and completed electronic publications and maintains an effective storage system.
  • Helps shape and enhance Catholic Education’s visual identity and brand positioning with creative design and innovative concepts.
  • Supports and contributes to a collaborative and cohesive team.

Selection Criteria

 

Essential

  1. Prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
  2. Have at least 3 years professional design experience.
  3. Be proficient with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat and be able to produce finished artwork for print and digital applications to industry standard specifications.
  4. Strong creative skills and a solid sense of design, layout and typesetting.
  5. Able to work independently with demonstrated experience in taking a project from brief through to completion.
  6. Experience working with and adhering to established style guides and existing branding.
  7. Proven ability to develop creative and effective designs, creative concepts and design materials that support the visual identity of the organisation, while demonstrating creativity and innovative thinking.
  8. Possess exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Able to work quickly and accurately, over multiple jobs and deadlines with great time management qualities.
  10. Professional and supportive manner in liaising with internal clients and suppliers. Experience in working with suppliers such as printers, photographers, copywriters and website developers as required.
  11. Desire to remain up to date with industry trends and be prepared to keep skills current.
  12. A strong team player who is prepared to assist colleagues during peak times.
  13. Tertiary or equivalent design qualifications / training

 

 

Desirable

  1. Experience with setting up EDM’s through an online email marketing portal.
  2. Knowledge of WordPress websites.
  3. HTML skills and experience in website UI/UX and web development.
