Welcome to Kimberley Calling – a groundbreaking initiative by CEWA that beckons you to empower and be inspired by students throughout Broome, teaching at your choice of 13 unique school destinations. Successful candidates require a degree qualification in either Early, Primary or Secondary education, and may choose to accept either: contracts for periods of 1 year + to reap the full benefits and financial incentives, or shorter term contracts (by school term) are also welcomed and can be discussed to support your availability - apply and chat to us about your needs and career goals!


After submitting your application you will be contacted by our friendly Talent team and provided full details of this transformative professional and personal growth opportunity, with a view to joining the Kimberley Calling Teacher pool for 2024. From this pool, Principals will directly appoint outstanding individuals for their unique schools and communities.

 

Benefits include:

 

  • Relocation travel from any major Australian city including flights, goods transportation and vehicle transportation paid by CEWA (return covered by CEWA for candidates working 1 year or more)

  • Housing provided by CEWA at capped low percentage of salary or completely free (depending on which school destination)

  • Location allowance paid per fortnight

  • Regional bonus incentive payment paid annually

  • Air conditioning reimbursement paid per fortnight

  • Electricity cover for higher than average costs paid by CEWA

  • Accelerated long service leave accrual at twice the standard rate (depending on which school destination)

  • Christmas break flights back to Perth or equivalent (covered by CEWA for candidates working 1 year or more)

  • 2 x mid-year break chartered plane flights annually for teacher teams in Eastern desert schools - choice of destinations include Broome, Katherine, etc

  • Friday early classroom finish 12:30pm every week

  • 4 x days additional accrued leave to extend long weekends throughout the year and support your personal travel adventures during your stay - for Eastern desert schools

Renumeration

 

  • $83,744 - $125,058 per annum + Superannuation 11%
  • Annual bonus $5,000 - $20,000
  • Location allowance $3,534 - $10,786 per annum
  • Airconditioning and Electricity reimbursements additional to above

Requirements:
