We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pedagogical Practice Consultant to play a pivotal role in building the capacity of consultants, school leaders, and teachers. 

 

This role plays a pivotal part in advancing excellence in teaching and learning across our schools, fostering alignment with best practices, and driving the strategic priorities of the Teaching and Learning Directorate.

 

This is a full-time ongoing position based in our West Leederville Office commencing as soon as practicable.

  • Salary range for this position is J1 to J4 on the CEO salary scale ($126, 288 - $141, 406 full time per annum) plus superannuation

About you? 

 

  • Minimum five years in senior or middle leadership of a school context.
  • Recent CEWA office or school-based experience with evidence of exemplary teaching.
  • Evidence of leading teams of people towards a common goal.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Quality Catholic Education and CEWA’s Vision for Learning.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of current issues and research in pedagogical practice to inform school improvement processes.
  • Excellent understanding, interpretation and analysis of learning data and how to apply this to improve teaching and learning.
  • Excellent understanding of ways to effectively utilise digital pedagogy to deepen learning.
  • Highly developed facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills that can be employed to support school leadership teams on their school improvement journey and to work as part of a wider School Support Team.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and be proactive.
  • Current TRBWA registration and Working with Children Check.
  • Willingness to travel to regional locations.
  • Knowledge of current initiatives, curriculum documents and programs used in Catholic Schools in Western Australia is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the school improvement process of Catholic schools in Western Australia is highly desirable.
