The Team

 

The Finance Team is responsible for providing professional corporate support services to Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA), and assists in the implementation of CEWA’s vision and strategic directions. 

 

The Finance Team provides services in the areas of financial and management accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, and accounts payable and receivable.

 

 

The Role

 

Key responsibilities for this role include: 

 

  • Collaborate with and provide advice to CEWA Ltd senior leaders (schools and office) regarding best practice and cost-effective system procurement opportunities and risk management.
  • Develop and coordinate end-to-end procurement processes, providing value add outcomes that assist with the implementation of CEWA Ltd’s strategic directions.
  • Oversee the evaluation of competitive tender processes ensuring a high level of probity.
  • Prepare procurement plans, business cases, tender and evaluation documentation, and contract documentation in conjunction with CEWA Ltd’s Legal Counsel as required
  • Develop and implement systems, maintain records and prepare reports on contracts and procurement activities.
  • Maintain CEWA Ltd’s contracts register.
  • Support contract management activities including regular reporting and check-ins with suppliers and vendors and maintaining quality business relationships.
  • Provide oversight and advice regarding contract management and performance to ensure that CEWA Ltd achieves value within an appropriate probity framework.

 

Your Background

 

  • Demonstrated experience in large scale procurement activities including tendering, contract management and negotiation, cost analysis and management, strategic sourcing, project management and risk management.
  • High level skills in preparing and evaluating complex procurement and contract documentation.
  • Well-developed research and analytical skills with the ability to identify and highlight key issues.
  • Demonstrated conceptual and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to meet agreed timeframes.
