The Role

This is a full-time maximum term position commencing 1 January 2022 and concluding 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension.

 

Applications are encouraged from CEWA educational leaders wishing to explore the option of a period of leave from their present position.

 

A successful applicant not based in Geraldton, will have reasonable relocation costs met by the Catholic Education Office of Western Australia.

 

The Regional Officer Geraldton position is a critical link between the CEWA Executive Team, the Bishop of Geraldton and Catholic schools in the Geraldton Diocese. A significant part of the role is capacity building at a school and systemic level, and the promotion of school improvement cultures of reflection, review and renewal. 

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Consult and liaise with the Bishop of Geraldton 
  • Through the QCE Elements, understand and actively promote the development of cultures of continuous improvement in schools and the Geraldton Regional Office 
  • Provide advice and feedback to the Executive Team on the delivery of, and need for, CEWA services to the Geraldton Diocese
  • Represent the Executive Director, as required, at functions in the Diocese and the wider regional community
  • Ensure smooth liaison between Perth Team Leaders and the consultants based in the Geraldton Regional Office
  • Liaise with Perth-based associations (such as Catholic Arts) to facilitate the provision of their services in the Geraldton Diocese

 

Your Background
What you will bring to the role:

•    A practicing Catholic with successful Catholic school principalship experience
•    Possess Accreditation for Leadership
•    Actively demonstrate, promote and enact an understanding, commitment and advocacy in leading QCE across the four Pillars
•    Provide quality Catholic leadership that promotes the evangelizing mission of the Church, and which fosters cultures of faith formation, empowerment, inquiry, innovation and continuous 
•    Demonstrate decision making and collaborative practices that are Christ-centered, transparent, evidence based and place the child as the focus
