School profile

St Denis School, located in the heart of the Joondanna Parish, proudly serves 254 students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6. Since our establishment in 1951, we’ve embraced a nurturing environment built on the values of love, truth, and learning. Our holistic educational approach is rooted in our Catholic ethos, a commitment to student wellbeing, and an inclusive philosophy that welcomes all.

Our curriculum spans all learning areas, with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy as the cornerstones of academic excellence. To enrich our students' experience, we’ve recently introduced Auslan as our Languages subject and implemented weekly Lighthouse Maths sessions, further strengthening their educational journey. Additionally, we offer a range of wraparound student support services and an Outside School Hours Care program.

As an integral part of a vibrant community, we believe that learning extends well beyond the classroom. Our students are actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities and local events, enriching their overall school experience.

At St Denis, we’re committed to helping every student realise their full potential. We celebrate the diversity of cultures, skills, and talents within our school, fostering a deep sense of community pride and inclusivity.
