School Profile
St Joseph's School Waroona is an award-winning school with 175 students founded by the Order of Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart in 1943. We are committed to ensuring every child experiences sustained growth in literacy and numeracy, while engaging in innovative STEAM programs that inspire a love for learning. Our school has recently undergone significant maintenance, including new roofs and classroom renovations, resulting in vibrant new learning spaces.
Students are developed holistically, focusing on their wellbeing within the embrace of our Catholic community. With a dedicated approach to restorative justice, we foster positive relationships across the whole school community through respect, inclusion, cooperation and accountability. Our commitment to the MJR (Making Jesus Real) philosophy, underpins a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusivity.
Partnering closely with the entire Waroona community and local Parish, we collaborate with local organisations, including Waroona District High School and the police and fire departments to enhance and strengthen community connections.
We’re committed to enhancing literacy through programs such as Structured Literacy, Talk for Writing and targeted interventions such as MiniLit and MacqLit. Students are supported through essential programs like the Breakfast Club.
