Principalship for Our Lady of Grace School, North Beach

The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship role at Our Lady of Grace School based in North Beach commencing 1 January 2026.

School Profile

Our Lady of Grace School is a Catholic co-educational primary school located in North Beach, WA, catering to approximately 640 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Formerly lead by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, the school continues to reflect their charism of love, faith, and family ministry.

The school serves the North Beach Parish and surrounding suburbs, offering a well-balanced curriculum with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy. Extension, intervention, and support programs ensure the diverse needs of all learners are met. Music, Visual Arts, and integrated technology enrich the learning experience across all year levels.

Pastoral care is central to the school’s ethos, fostering self-discipline, self-belief, and strong partnerships between school, home, and parish. The addition of a social worker and nurse further supports student wellbeing.

Characterised by strong family connections, high expectations, and a well-resourced environment, the school maintains a small-school feel despite its recent transition to a triple-stream structure. Students are empowered through leadership opportunities, decision-making involvement, and a wide range of extracurricular activities that promote inclusion and success.

Together, these elements create a thriving, faith-filled, and future-focused learning community.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities of the Principal, the community seeks a principal who:

  • Proven ability to drive whole-school improvement in literacy and numeracy, including spelling, grammar, reading, and mathematics, while strengthening intervention strategies for students with additional needs through professional development, reflective practice, and a balanced approach to teaching.

Community

  • Demonstrated ability to foster a Christ-centred school community through pastoral care, student voice, and strong partnerships with parents, caregivers, parish, and the wider community
  • Capacity to promote inclusivity, respectful communication, child safety, and wellbeing by reinforcing parents as first educators, honouring diversity, and upholding the dignity of every person.
