The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Hilton, commencing in Term 3, 2026.

  • Promotes ongoing professional learning, provides appropriate resourcing and supports, and leads a positive culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Strengthens relationships with students, staff and families, fostering an inclusive, respectful culture that values diversity and ensures all feel welcomed and connected.
  • Leads with fairness, humility and openness to new ideas, honours the school’s history, supports positive change and works collaboratively to grow and sustain a vibrant school community.

 

Stewardship

  • Demonstrates strong financial literacy, effective governance, and careful stewardship of resources to support sustainable operations and high‑quality learning environments.
  • Leads with a long‑term, future‑focused vision that honours the school’s history while guiding ongoing improvement, including the maintenance and development of facilities.

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.
  • Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.
  • A collaborative and future-focused leader who understands and supports the strategic priorities of the broader Catholic Education system. 
  • A relevant Master’s degree (or working towards completion) with the ability to apply advanced leadership and management principles to both the day-to-day and long-term leadership of a school is highly desirable.
  • Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).
  • Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).
