The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship role at St Brigid’s Primary School based in Middle Swan commencing 1 January 2026.

St Brigid’s Primary School is a co-educational Catholic school established in 1902. It caters to approximately 460 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 and is located near the Parish Centre in Midland. The school is proud of its strong connection with the Parish and wider community, which supports a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

 

Grounded in the charisms of the Mercy and Josephite traditions, St Brigid’s provides a holistic education that encourages students to grow spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and socially. The school promotes the values of Service, Courage, Peace and Acceptance, creating a respectful and supportive atmosphere where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

 

The curriculum places a strong emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy and is enriched by specialist programs in Physical Education, Music, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences and Italian for students in Years 3 to 6. A dedicated Learning Support Coordinator and the Jean Ellison Centre provide tailored support for students with diverse learning needs through targeted intervention and enrichment programs.

Selection Criteria:

  • Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.
  • Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.
  • A collaborative and future-focused leader who understands and supports the strategic priorities of the broader Catholic Education system. 
  • A relevant Master’s degree (or working towards completion) with the ability to apply advanced leadership and management principles to both the day-to-day and long-term leadership of a school is highly desirable.
  • Current Teachers Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).
  • Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).
