The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship role at St John Bosco College based in Piara Waters commencing 1 January 2026.
School Profile
St John Bosco College is a Catholic co-educational school in Piara Waters, approximately 22 km south of the Perth CBD, offering education from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Known for its innovative and flexible learning spaces, the College embraces 21st-century teaching and learning practices that promote collaboration and creativity.
Rooted in the tradition and spirituality of St John Bosco and the Salesian charism, the College lives out the words of its patron: “It is not enough to love the young; they must know that they are loved.”
Modern facilities include purpose-built learning centres, a library, science, arts and technology areas, sports ovals, multi-purpose courts, and dedicated assembly spaces. Recent additions include a Sports and Recreation Centre, a new Secondary Learning Centre, and a College Cafeteria. The College also offers an Outside School Hours Care service and an Aboriginal Families as First Educators Playgroup, supporting its strong community focus.

- Apply strong financial acumen to ensure ethical, strategic, and future-focused stewardship of College resources, aligned with Catholic values and sound governance practices.
Selection Criteria:
- Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.
- Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in Catholic schools, with K-12 experience desirable but not essential.
- A collaborative and future-focused leader who understands and supports the strategic priorities of the broader Catholic Education system.
- A relevant Master’s degree (or working towards completion) with the ability to apply advanced leadership and management principles to both the day-to-day and long-term leadership of a school is highly desirable.
- Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).
- Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).
