Principalship for St Martin de Porres, Broome

The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship role at St Martin de Porres based in Broome commencing 1 January 2026.

School Profile

St Martin de Porres School is a Catholic co-educational secondary CaRE (Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education) school located in Broome. Established to support young people who find mainstream schooling challenging, the school offers a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment focused on wellbeing and personal growth.

Guided by the motto “In love and harmony we grow,” the school’s dedicated staff prioritise seeing, hearing, and valuing each student without judgement. Relationships are built on mutual trust and respect, creating a community that feels more like a family than a traditional school.

The school’s educational model is grounded in trauma-informed practices, culturally responsive pedagogy, and strength-based approaches. With a high staff-to-student ratio (one adult to twelve students), the school ensures personalised support that enhances resilience, learning outcomes, and overall life satisfaction.

Rooted in Catholic values and a commitment to human dignity and the common good, St Martin de Porres School empowers young people to re-engage with education and discover their potential in a supportive and welcoming setting.
