We are currently on the lookout for a Religious Education Curriculum Consultant to join our Religious Education Team! This exciting opportunity is a full time ongoing position commencing in January 2026 and based in our Leederville office!
The Role
The Religious Education Curriculum Consultant is responsible for working in collaboration with other members of the Religious Education Curriculum and Formation for Mission Teams. To work with members of the Catholic Education Office to support the religious education and faith formation needs of leaders and school communities in their service as educators and witnesses of faith in Catholic schools.
The Essentials
- Personal witness to Catholic faith
- Accreditation for the Leadership of the Religious Education Learning Area
- Recent experience and knowledge of the Western Australian Religious Education Curriculum
- Experience in developing digital tools and resources that enable more engaged learning experiences
- Proven ability to communicate Catholic teaching faithfully
- Excellent knowledge and use of presentation skills which fully engage adult learners in an interactive way
- Proven capacity to work cooperatively with others
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
Highly Desirable
- A sound knowledge of the theology and Church documents that underpin the Western Australia Religious Education program
- Recent experience in developing, implementing and assessing in the RE Curriculum area
- Proven evidence around the capacity to develop engaging curriculum
- Recent experience teaching in a Religious Education classroom
- Proven evidence in high level skills in using digital technology
- Recent curriculum experience in a 7-12 setting
