For more than 150 years, Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) has supported schools and communities across the state. Today, we are Western Australia's second-largest education provider, supporting more than 84,500 students through a network of schools and nearly 14,000 staff.
We're seeking a qualified accounting professional to join our School Support Accountants team. This is a unique opportunity to step beyond traditional accounting and become a trusted adviser to Principals and Finance Officers, providing financial guidance, analysis and strategic support that helps schools remain financially sustainable and positioned for future success.
This is a 1.0FTE ongoing position.

About the Role
Working across a portfolio of schools, you will partner with Principals and Finance Officers to support sound financial management, compliance and long-term financial sustainability. You will provide financial advice, performance insights and strategic support that enables informed decision-making and positive outcomes for school communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Providing financial advice and analysis to school leaders
- Monitoring financial performance and compliance requirements
- Supporting audit and reporting processes
- Contributing to capital planning and major expenditure assessments
- Building trusted stakeholder relationships across a portfolio of schools
About You
You are a CPA or CA qualified accountant (or equivalent) with strong financial and management accounting experience. You enjoy building relationships, communicating financial information clearly and partnering with stakeholders to solve problems and improve outcomes.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audit and compliance will be highly regarded. Experience within education, not-for-profit, commercial or public practice environments is advantageous but not essential.
