About the School

Mater Christi Catholic Primary School is a vibrant, three-stream co-educational school located in the growing community of Cockburn. Set beside the natural beauty of Yangebup Lake, the school offers a high-quality Catholic education for students from Pre-Kindy (3-year-olds) to Year Six.

Mater Christi provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where each child is known and valued. The school’s Catholic identity is expressed through a strong parish connection and the Making Jesus Real (MJR) philosophy, which fosters respect, kindness, and a Christ-like presence.

A strong academic focus on literacy and numeracy is complemented by specialist programs in Art, Drama, Music, Italian, Science, Physical Education, and Enrichment. A comprehensive Learning Support Program ensures all students are supported in their learning and well-being.

Facilities include two new modern buildings for Kindy & Pre Primary, and one for Years Two & Three. There are also specialist rooms, library, expansive playgrounds, and air-conditioned classrooms equipped with the latest Apple technology. The Community Centre provides a space for assemblies, incursions and in-door area for sport when required.
