We are inviting expressions of interest for the short-term Principal position at Sacred Heart School, Beagle Bay. The preferred commencement date is the beginning of Term 4, 2025, with flexibility for an earlier start date by negotiation, and concluding 31 December 2025.

 

About the School

 

Sacred Heart School provides a quality Catholic education for students from Kindergarten to Year 10. The school currently supports 65 students, of whom 61 identify as First Nation. The school maintains a strong, active partnership with the Sacred Heart Parish.

 

The school proudly facilitates the Aboriginals as First Educators (AFaFE) program, welcoming families with children aged 0–3 years to engage in early childhood development through a fun, family and community oriented approach, rich in the heritage of First Nation Peoples and especially the Nyul Nyul People of the region.

 

As a Catholic School, with a strong history of Catholic religious orders and related local faith leaders, it holds a very significant place in the journey and story of Catholic Education in the Broome Diocese. Eligibility Criteria

 

To be considered for this unique leadership opportunity, candidates must be practising Catholics and highly experienced educators committed to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum four-year tertiary qualification (progress towards a master’s degree or higher is advantageous)
  • Accreditation to Lead
  • Current TRBWA and Working with Children requirements
