We are inviting expressions of interest for the short‑term principalship at St Joseph’s School, Moora, commencing 4 July 2026 to 31 December 2026.

About the School

St Joseph’s School is a single‑stream Catholic primary school founded in 1913 by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. The school continues to live out the spirit and values of Mary MacKillop, Australia’s first saint, fostering a strong sense of faith, service, and community.

Located north‑east of Perth, St Joseph’s caters for approximately 160 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. While many students travel from surrounding areas such as Watheroo, Dandaragan, Bindi Bindi, Miling, Badgingarra, Koojan and Piawanning, the majority of enrolments come from the Moora township. The school prides itself on being a welcoming and inclusive community where families feel a strong sense of belonging.

St Joseph’s offers a broad and comprehensive curriculum designed to meet the needs of all learners. Literacy and numeracy form a major focus across the school, supported by high‑quality teaching practices and a commitment to ensuring every child is given the opportunity to thrive. The school community is united in its belief that it is a place “growing together in harmony and faith in Jesus,” and this ethos is reflected in daily interactions, learning experiences, and pastoral care.

In a safe and supportive environment, St Joseph’s School seeks to empower each student to reach their full potential, spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. The school remains dedicated to nurturing confident, compassionate, and capable young people who are ready to contribute positively to their community and the wider world.
