Teach Regional WA

Teaching where community matters

About Teach Regional WA

Teach Regional WA is a supported pathway for teachers interested in living, teaching and contributing to Catholic school communities across regional Western Australia, including Bunbury, Geraldton and the Goldfields-Esperance-Midwest (GEMs).

This pathway is designed for teachers who are curious about regional teaching in country towns and regional centres. Teaching regionally offers professional and personal experiences that are hard to replicate elsewhere, including strong community connection, meaningful impact, and opportunities for growth in supportive school environments.

Teach Regional WA provides clear information, honest conversations and genuine support to help you explore what living and teaching regionally can really look like. Whether you are actively seeking a new role or simply exploring future possibilities, the program supports you to make informed decisions that feel right for you.

How the Program Works

Teach Regional WA is not a jobs board. It is a guided and supported recruitment pathway that connects teachers with regional Catholic schools where they are well placed to thrive.

By submitting an Expression of Interest, you can indicate specific regions or types of schools you are interested in, or choose to be considered more broadly across Bunbury, Geraldton and GEMs. Submitting an Expression of Interest does not commit you to a role.

Our Talent team will work with you to understand your experience, skills and preferences, and to align these with the context and needs of regional schools. Recruitment processes may include screening, credential and registration checks, referee checks and interviews. Final employment decisions are made by individual schools.
